You should be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) when you’re off work sick, depending on your circumstances and you could get £88.45 per week for up to 28 weeks. You won’t get it for the first 3 days you’re off sick, unless you’ve already had it for another period of sickness within the last 8 weeks.
Some employers will pay contractual sick pay. You might get this from your first day off sick, contractual sick pay can’t be less than £88.45 per week.
If you are not entitled to SSP then you should contact the DWP about Employment Support Allowance.
